Plexus Global LLC (“Plexus Global”) is a consumer reporting agency that provides background check reports for permissible purposes such as employment and tenant screening and our operations fall under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and related federal and state laws. We are committed to your privacy and have adopted the following privacy practices pertaining to how we collect, utilize, share, and maintain personal information.

This privacy policy applies to information collected online through both this website (https://plexusglobalinc.com/) and our customer login (https://plexone.plexusglobalinc.com/), collectively the “Websites.” It also applies to personal information collected offline via mail, telephone, and in person. When customer’s log in to our customer log in they are directed to the Plexus Global PlexOne system.

This privacy policy generally describes the following:

  • What information we collect;
  • How information is used;
  • With whom it is shared; and
  • How it is maintained and secured.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy:

We will post any changes we make to our privacy policy on our website. If we make material changes to how we treat personal information we collect from you, we will notify you by email or through a notice on our website.

Children’s Privacy:

Plexus Global’s services and Websites are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect the personal information of individuals under the age of 18.

  • To respond to consumers who request copies of their reports and/or file disclosures pursuant to federal and state law.
  • To communicate with consumers and others who request that we communicate with them (e.g. by signing up for our services or newsletters, requesting information from us, “liking” a blog posting, or seeking employment with us).
  • To process customer payments for our background screening services.
  • To respond to job applicants interested in employment with Plexus Global.

Sharing of and Disclosure of Personal Information:

Plexus Global may disclose personal information we collect to our vendors, third parties with whom we have a contractual relationship to provide data and services, for the purpose of conducting background checks. These third parties may access and process the personal information we collect. We require such third parties to keep the information confidential and not to use it for other purposes or process the information in a manner incompatible with the purposes for which it has been collected.

  • In order to conduct background checks pursuant to our agreements with our customers, such as employers, landlords, and property management companies.
  • When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process or enforceable governmental request or when necessary to protect our rights.
  • When necessary to investigate, take action, or prevent suspected or actual illegal activities, fraud, or potential threats to safety or personal physical safety.
  • If our company or our assets are acquired or purchased by another company, that company will assume responsibility for the information collected through the Websites.
  • As otherwise described in this privacy policy, including any non-personally identifiable information.

Plexus Global does not sell personal information for marketing purposes.

Cookies:

Plexus Global may utilize cookies to improve our Websites and your experience with them. This may include cooks to enable our Websites to tailor information to the visitor, to remember a user, or to track visits to our Websites. Non-Personally Identifiable Information:

We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of our Websites. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, which browsers types are used to access the Websites, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personal information. We use the information we get from Google Analytics to understand how our website is used and make improvements.

Data Security:

Plexus Global has put into place reasonable security measures, including technical, contractual, administrative and physical measures in an effort to protect personal information from loss, misuse or alteration while it is under our control. For example, Plexus Global employs Server Name Identification (SNI), Server Policy Framework (SPF), and SSL and TLS protocol. Our platforms all score a grade of A+ from Qualys SSL Labs.

In the course of business, Plexus Global may collect or ask that you disclose your Social Security Number. We protect the confidentiality of Social Security Numbers. Accordingly, we prohibit the unlawful disclosure of personal information, including Social Security Numbers, and limit access to same.

International Transfers of Data:

Plexus Global is also aware of its global responsibility to maintain the privacy of personal information. Please refer to our Privacy Shield Privacy Policy for more information on our procedures regarding international data transfers and information related to data privacy for data subjects of the European Union (EU) and Plexus Global’s compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Links to third party websites or third party services such as social media logins, are provided for your convenience. Plexus Global exercises no control over such other websites and web-based services and is not responsible or liable for the availability thereof or the content, advertising, products, or other materials thereon. This privacy policy does not apply to third- party websites, therefore we recommend that you review the online privacy policy of any website you visit to determine how the operator of that website handles personal information collected through the website.

How We Respond to Do Not Track Signals on Our Website:

Some internet browsers have “Do Not Track” or “DNT” features which, when turned on, send a signal to the website that the individual visiting the website does not wish to be tracked.
